A national service that is known worldwide has specific considerations in terms of fire safety requirements within its UK property portfolio. We are fortunate enough to have been asked to provide quality assurance throughout the business in terms of their existing fire provisions and offer industry leading advice on improvements to ensure maximum protection.
Another national treasure in the form of a hugely important historic premises with priceless works of art inside. The RAOA came to us to undertake their Fire Risk Assessment as well as fire compartmentation surveys, which are based on a pragmatic approach to fire safety due to historic and listed buildings often being constructed in a time where fire regulations didn’t exist and so thinking outside of the box is vital in preventing total devastation should a fire occur.
We love historic buildings and there aren’t many that provide as much history or are as well known as the Knightsbridge Shopping District.
Using our experience in the Heritage sector, we go above and beyond the minimum requirements of ‘life safety’ and provide pragmatic solutions that meet functional requirements in asset protection and business continuity.
Another passion of ours is sports stadia. Whilst we are always looking to give back to our local community, these stadiums are often community assets which form the basis of generations of families getting together and enjoying a day out.
We understand their importance and use our specialist skills to ensure that they meet regulations and can be used safely for generations to come.
Adding to our portfolio of historic building clients, the National Portrait Gallery came to us in order to help lead their new renovation works and post build safety compliance checks.
We were able to use our unique skillsets to improve visitor safety in such a way that the key security concerns were also addressed in coordination with fire safety requirements.
All our staff are security vetted and have some of the highest security clearance’s available for private contractors. Our work is tailored to the clients and as such we commence projects with startup meetings that detail their specific concerns and plan projects around their unique requirements.
We understand that each working environment is different and consider all potential nuances.
In a unique building complex, fire safety is one of many safety issues with which management must concern themselves to minimise the risk of injury or death to staff, patients, or visitors.
Unlike most of the other safety concerns, fire has the potential to injure or kill large numbers of people very quickly. Hospitals have critical fire safety needs which should be considered at all times to keep people safe when they are at their most vulnerable.
Sleeping risks bring enhanced danger. We work both pro-actively and re-actively with construction companies to ensure compliance. Whether its during the building stage, or at a later date within the building’s lifecycle, our assessors / surveyors bring with them a skillset that leaves building managers with a weight off their mind.
We can ensure safety in all aspects of high-rise buildings, whether that’s detailed Fire Risk Assessments, internal compartmentation and fire door surveys, or PAS9980 external wall work.
